A PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE RUBY-BACK EGGSHELL DEEP PLATES
Each delicately enamelled with two ornately dressed ladies seated beside a table, one holding a sceptre suspending a double ring, and two boys standing to their right watching a cat standing on a large fruit in the foreground, all within a hexafoil panel reserved on a blue Y-pattern ground at the centre, the well with a band of gilt scrolling foliage, and the pale pink cell-pattern border embellished with butterflies and flowers and reserved with irregularly-shaped cartouches of gilt flowers alternating with blue enamel archaistic dragon roundels, the rim with a narrow turquoise-green band with four cartouches, the underside enamelled in a deep even ruby-red tone
