There are a related pair of vases in the Galerie Suger Collection that are attributed to Jean-François Robert, see J.L. Curtin, Baccarat, New York, 1992, p. 230-232. Robert, a decorative artist at the royal porcelain manufactory of Sévres (recorded in 1806-34 and 1835-43), decorated opalines by Baccarat and Saint Louis with floral designs in enamels as well as gold, silver and platinum from 1843-1855. Another pair of vases also attributed to Baccarat and Robert sold in these Rooms, 29-30 March 2001, lot 205 ($17,625).
