A pair of related mirrors is illustrated in G. Child, World Mirrors, London, 1990, pp. 78 & 101, fig. 57. The latter was sold anonymously, Christie's New York, 22 April 1999, lot 142 ($46,000). A related pier glass with similar husk-carved scalloped plume and guilloche-enriched border was invoiced by John Belchier in 1723 for Erdding in Wales (R. Edwards & M. Jourdain, Georgian Cabinet-Makers, London, 1955, p. 137, fig. 36). A closely related mirror was sold anonymously, Christie's New York, 22 April 1999, lot 137.
