Each with later flamestitch needlework-covered padded seat, on cabriole legs with pad feet, the ears replaced, seven feet tipped, one stool with pencil inscriptions 'A2557' and 'A3443', the other with pencil inscription 'A3443'

An almost identical single stool was sold anonymously, Sotheby's, New York, 19 November 1988, lot 240 ($14,300).
