signed to baseplate Horyu, 19th Century
the central body relief decorated with ho-o in flight among cloud scrolls on a nanako ground, between bands of lappets, scrolling flowerheads and leaves, and geometric motifs -- 5 1/8in. (13cm.) high, (old wear and rubbing to extremities, one baseplate missing).
