    A PAIR OF LARGE BLUE AND WHITE DISHES
    Kangxi period (1662-1722)
    One dish decorated with an interior scene of a young lady kneeling before an elderly bearded official while two attendants hold cloth-covered gifts, the other dish decorated with two officials standing on a path leading to a scene of Xi Wang Mu being being fanned by an attendant while the white hare mixes the Elixir of Life, all amidst vaporous clouds, the exteriors painted with flowering branches
