A pair of large Satsuma tapering baluster vases
with widely flaring necks, painted and gilt with shaped panels of Immortals and attendants in landscapes and Rakan amongst pine and rockwork, the necks with ho-o in flight, all on grounds reserved with fan shaped panels and scattered brocade, y-pattern and foliate motifs -- 40¼in. (102.3cm.) high, (both restored and drilled), metal covers and stands.
