Count Schwerin (1684-1756) was the principal advisor and tactician for Frederick the Great in the First and Second Silesian Wars and during the Seven Years War. A large part of the original table service, probably a gift from the grateful King to his loyal general, was sold in these Rooms on the 11th March 1996, lot 186.
