These stylish lamps, along with the set of four fauteuils in the following lot, were acquired from the legendary firm of decorators, Maison Jansen. Founded in 1880 by Henri Jansen, the firm rapidly established a worldwide reputation in fashionable circles, with offices in Paris, New York and Buenos Aires. Many of the firm's designers became famous in their own right, including the legendary Stphane Boudin and Henri Samuel. The firm's stellar client list included the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, the Agnellis and Stavros Niarchos.
