A PAIR OF ORMOLU-MOUNTED ENAMELED BISCUIT FIGURES OF BUDDHISTIC LIONS THE PORCELAIN KANGXI, THE ORMOLU MOUNTS EARLY 19TH CENTURY

Each lion attractively glazed in pale green and pale aubergine with darker green snail curls on the brows, beard, mane and backbone, with loose eyes glazed black, one with a pale yellow cub, the other with a reticulated, brocade ball mounted on a post, each seated atop a rectangular plinth decorated around the sides with diaper pattern and faux wood graining, with a pair of interlocking lozenges applied to one side, the whole set into an ormolu base raised on fluted cushion feet (some restoration)
