A pair of ormolu-mounted Sevres-pattern dark-blue-ground vases

Each with everted leaf-moulded rim above the baluster body, painted to one side with a panel within jewelled and foliate gilt surround, one depicting a young woman sat on a bench reading, Cupid in the background, the other of a woman supporting a basket of flowers on her head, Cupid peeping out of it, decorated to the other side with a panel of fruit and flowers within gilt border, on spreading foot decorated with a band of flowers, on shaped base
