A pair of Paris claret-ground part-glazed campana vases with stylised dolphin handles, painted with couples in Renaissance dress, one with the gentleman playing a lute, a hound seated by his feet, the other with the couple sheltering in a storm, a hound at their feet, within chased gilt rectangular panels above moulded white and gilt stiff leaves, the stem moulded with an egg and dart turnover section, above a wreath and a square base supported by paw feet, circa 1820 (the handles reduced to the tails) -- 24.2cm. high See colour plate 4 (2)
