A pair of Royal Worcester ivory ground two handled oviform vases and covers
converted to lamps, the bodies moulded in gilt and bronze with sprays of chrysanthemum, the reverse with a lesser sprays above a stiff leaf band, the shoulders moulded with mythical beast masks between diaper sections, applied with scroll handles above drapery swags, the rims and stems moulded with a guilloche pattern, the covers with stiff leaf bands above gadrooned sections, the feet supported by stepped square plinths moulded with masks, scrolling flowers and a stiff leaf band, with gilt bronze stands, shape 1398, puce marks, date letters a for 1890 (finial deficient, some minor damages) -- 52cm. high overall
