A pair of Satsuma tapering baluster vases
with widely flaring necks, painted and gilt with continuous bands of birds perched on the branches of blossoming trees, above cockerels, hens and chicks amongst peony flowers, daisies and magnolia, the necks with scattered flowerheads on dense foliage grounds -- 15in. (38.7cm.) high, signed, 20th Century.
