A pair of silver tazze
maker's mark of Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company, London, 1902
Each on three scroll feet and shaped circular base, cast and chased with simulated swirling waves, one stem formed as a bearded merman, the other as a mermaid, each emerging from the waves, their arms held aloft, supporting the shallow circular dish, with water-lily and scroll handles, the centres engraved with presentation inscription beneath the badge of the Scots Guards, marked on underside of dishes and stamped 'GOLDSMITHS COMPANY 112 REGENT STREET'
