A part-ebonised and rosewood veneered box, late 19th century
of rectangular form with ripple moulded upper and lower rims, the hinged cover and two lower doors with brass and faux tortoiseshell foliate marquetry decoration, partitioned interior containing three similar porcelain decanters with gilt-heightened cobalt blue ground surrounding floral reserves, bracket feet (possibly associated), probably French -- the box 10.1/8in. (25.5cm.) wide (3)
