Post Lot Text
This lamp model, sometimes referred to as the modèle Lanvin, complemented the other pieces of furniture in Lanvin's homes. Pictured in the library of the rue Barbet-de-Jouy hôtel particulier, the reeded baluster base echoes the bronze legs of the double-tiered tea table, the model of which was originally designed for Florence Blumenthal, and the legs of the oak desk. This lamp model, along with the dressing table Rateau created for Lanvin's bedroom and various other pieces, appeared in the Pavillon de Marsan exhibition Le Décor de la vie de 1900 à 1925, held in 1937 at the Musée du Louvre.
