The rectangular breakfront brèche violette marble top above an echinus and fluted frieze centred by the head of Hercules draped in the pelt of the Nemean lion, on ring-handled lion-headed leaf-carved and imbricated truss legs with scroll and stepped feet, the underside of the marble top inscribed in chalk twice 'SANATOR'
