Three other closely related pitchers, all attributed to Greenwood Pottery in Trenton, are known. One is in the collection of the National Museum of American History and has an inscription of Robert Adrian, President of the Senate, 1892. (See Bert and Ellen Denker, The Warner Collector's Guide to North American Pottery and Porcelain [New York, 1982], p. 154.) A second example is in the collection of the New Jersey State Museum and bears an inscription James J. Berken, Speaker of the House, 1892. The third example is in the collection of the Newark Museum and bears an inscription President of the Senate.
In addition to being the Speaker of New Jersey's House of Representatives, David Ogden Watkins (1862-1938) was Acting Governor of New Jersey from 1898-1899.
