    Lot Essay

    A larger mirror with back bevelled glass borders and a similar shaped plate, but with the addition of a shell-carved cresting and base, was sold from the Collection of Marjorie Wiggin Prescott, sold in these rooms, 31 January 1981, lot 198, and again, 16 November 1998, lot 272.
