A RARE LARGE IRON-RED-DECORATED BLUE AND WHITE DRAGON BOWL
JIAJING SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1522-1566)
The deep rounded sides flaring at the rim, the exterior decorated with eight five-clawed dragons leaping in pursuit of flaming pearls amidst clouds, above a band of breaking waves and a border of ruyi heads, the base of the interior painted with a similar single dragon medallion within a double circle below a double blue-line border at the rim
