A RARE LARGE JUNYAO BOWL
YUAN DYNASTY (1279-1368)
The bowl is well potted with deep sides rising to the bracket-lobed rim and is covered overall with a milky blue-grey glaze that thins to mushroom on the rim and ends in an irregular line above the foot to expose the pale grey body. The base is similarly glazed. Some areas of the glaze, particularly on the interior of the bowl, are suffused with a tight, irregular grey crackle.
9 9/16 in. (24.2 cm.) diam.
