The present vase is of an exceptionally large size. Comparable vases of this form and with this glaze but of smaller size are known: one is included in the Illustrated Catalogue of Chinese Government Exhibits for the International Exhibition of Chinese Art in London, 1935, vol. II, no. 214; and another is illustrated in The Tsui Museum of Art: Chinese Ceramics IV, Qing Dynasty, Hong Kong, 1995, pl. 21.
