The rounded rectangular top with pierced Greek-key three-quarter gallery above two frieze drawers, on later lyre end-suports, joined by an arched stretcher with downswept legs, brass foliate caps and castors, the handles replaced

Lot Essay

A rosewood table of this pattern, with 'Apollo' lyre pilasters and palm-flowered drawers and feet, was sold Christie's, London, 12 March 1970 (lot 24) and again on 6 October 1994 (lot 75). Another is illustrated in F.Lewis Hinckley, Hepplewhite, Sheraton & Regency Furniture, 1987, p. 95 (pl. 181).
