A Renaissance gold and enamel devotional pendant
of St Anthony of Padua, the central figure of the Saint wearing Franciscan habit with blue enamel and star decoration, holding in one hand the infant Christ seated on a book, in the other a cross, standing between palms of green enamel, within a polychrome enamel frame with crown surmount, and engraved detail, set with untested pearls, two deficient, and three foiled later replacement green pastes in box settings, the reverse engraved and enamelled, to a chased pendant loop, Spanish, circa 1600, 7.0cm. high.
