In the form of the head of an African, with echeloned curls, the high arching brows merging between his eyes and meeting the bridge of the broad nose, the nozzle protruding from his open mouth, a rectangular projection at the forehead perforated for suspension, remains of a chain still attached, the round fill hole at the top of the head, on a flat disk base 4 3/8 in. (11.1 cm) long
