The hoop broadening out to the bezel engraved with a palm frond, 5/8 in. (1.5 cm.) across inner hoop; another small Roman gold ring with ribbon hoop and bezel engraved with a palm frond, ½ in. (1.1 cm.) across inner hoop, 2nd-4nd Century A.D.; a Roman banded agate intaglio of truncated dome form engraved with a shrimp, in modern gold ring mount; a Byzantine gold ring with high fluted bezel mounted with a garnet intaglio showing a scorpion, small hole in one side, 6th-7th Century A.D.; and a later gold ring with tongued shoulders and an octagonal bezel with niello crucifix, 5/8 in.
