The over-life-sized figure of an elderly gentleman standing on an integral base, clad in and ample toga over a tunic, the toga draped over his shoulders with long U-shaped folds creating an opening in the front, his right arm bent at the elbow, his hand emerging from the drapery at his wrist, gripping the vertical folds, standing with his right leg slightly bent at the knee, his head angled forward, the veristic portrait revealing his age, his hair closely-cropped and receding, the recessed eyes below thick arching brows, with prominent cheekbones and sunken-in cheeks, a long aquiline nose and thin expressionless lips
