A Safavid brown and cream lustre bowl
on a short foot, decorated to the centre with a roundel reserved with dense flower sprays, a band reserved with interlacing stylised flowerheads and foliage to the interior sides, and a continual frieze of shaped foliate cartouches amongst dense flower sprays to the exterior -- 7¼in. (18.5cm.) diam, (hairline body cracks, rubbing to lustre).
