Of square form with bevelled top, each side with openwork decoration with calligraphic panel inscribed Ya Muhammad (O Muhammad), on floral scrolls and bordered with floral arabesques, the corners marked with tall bulbous finials, the top inscribed in thuluth and nasta'liq scripts, pierced at top and bottom to fit on the original 'alam shaft
