With report no. 0404121 dated 3 May 2004 from the Gübelin Gem Lab stating that the sapphire shows no indications of thermal enhancement
Accompanied by a Note stating that the sapphire 'possesses a combination of gemmological characteristics which does not permit a sufficiently secure identification of origin.... It may be stated, however, that the above mentioned sapphire does possess characteristics indicative of sapphires which are derived from metamorphic deposits, such as those in Sri Lanka or Kashmir. At this moment it is not possible to classify the probable source any further'
