A SCOTTISH BASKET-HILTED BROADSWORD
Second quarter of the 18th Century
With tapering flattened blade with single fuller on each side of the forte and an incised mark on one side, iron guard of bars of rectangular section (one incomplete) involving panels pierced with circles and triangles, scrolled wrist-guard, bun-shaped pommel, and spirally fluted wooden grip with iron ferrule at its base
