SILVER-MOUNTED HANGER Late 17th Century With short curved single-edged blade struck on one face with three small hearts, short straight quillons with vertically recurved lobe tips, bonnet-shaped cap-pommel with button, and natural buckhorn grip with a silver ferrule at the base, in leather-covered wooden scabbard with silver mouth-locket and chape, the former struck with a maker's mark, GS over a pellet in a shield, and a defaced sterling mark 13in. (33cm.) blade
