A set of eight Chinese red lacquer panels
onlaid in ivory, jade and hardstones with a variety of birds in flight on riverbanks and perched amongst blossoming and fruiting trees, all on incised geometric grounds, the reverses decorated in gilt with calligraphy on black lacquer grounds -- 53in. x 18½in. (134.5cms x 47cms), 19th century, (damages and old wear).
