A set of five small Japanese Arita octangonal blue and white bowls 19th Century
with chocolate glazed rims, painted to the exterior with immortals holding attributes below a scrolling folliage border -- 4½in. (11.5cms) diam, six character mark to the base; and a blue and white octagonal dish painted with a landscape scene within a twin border of meandering flowers and foliage -- 8¾in. (22.5cms) diam, (one bowl restored).
