With curved bar toprails and horizontal splats with padded burgundy leather seats on ring-turned tapered legs, some of the underneath of the seatrails stamped 1861, some chairs applied with oval brass plaques on the maker, Wells and Company, Cabinet Makers, Bedford other chairs with later brass plaques of Wells and Co. .....Furnishers, Bedford, minor variations in proportion some carving and possibly age, some early Victorian, some late Victorian (12)
