the ewer of baluster form, painted with a quarter-length portrait of Louis XVI, the reverse with a Marie Antoinette, the bowl with a French coat of arms, within 'jewelled' bands reserved on a gilt vermicular ground, the ewer named in blue, imitiation Sèvres marks, late 19th century (light rubbing to gilding and surface scratches), the ewer -- 22cm. high, the bowl -- 27cm. diam.
