A shaped album quilt with a central star of white cotton inscribed ''Robert Brown Minister'' and ''Behold how good and how pleasant it is for bretheren to dwell in unity'', each point of the star with a name of a church official, the field with white squares, the edges printed with thistles, a rose and shamrock, each inscribed with different names, possibly parishioners, linked with turkey red oblongs, quilted to design, within a white frame quilted with shells and cables, in each border an appliqué flower head, the petals inscribed in ink with proverbs--86 x 72in. (215 x 180cm.), probably Scottish, 19th century
