On partly-fluted spreading circular foot chased with a band of acanthus foliage, thh stem with fluted knop applied with acanthus foliage, with partly-fluted trumpet-shaped bowl chased beneath the lip with scrolling foliage on an unburnished ground, the fluted cover with crest finial, the interior engraved with Latin presentation inscription, marked on body, cover and finial, the base stamped 'Watherston London', on ebonised wood plinth and in baize-lined wood case with carrying handles, the interior of the door applied with an inscribed card, the base with plaque inscribed 'WATHERSON AND SON SILVERSMITHS 6, VIGO ST., LONDON. W.''
