A silver single cased verge pocket watch, Simon Decharmes, London, first half 18th Century, white enamel dial signed Decharmes, London, Roman numerals, outer Arabic five minutes, eccentric winding holes, gilt fusee movement signed S. Decharmes, London, finely pierced, chased and engraved balance cock, fancy Egyptian pillars, plain silver case, diameter 50mm.
The movement of this watch dates from about 1720, the dial and case appear to have been replaced in the continental manner at around 1750.
