Signed on the fret, Joseph Knibb Oxon Fecit
The pierced fret engraved with flowers and leaves above Roman chapter ring enclosing alarm disc in the center finely engraved with urn and bouquet of flowers, pierced iron hand, the movement with turned brass corner columns, verge escapement with short pendulum, endlesss cord winding, striking the hour by means of countwheel and linked hammer, the alarm pulley mounted on backplate, the bell strap enhanced with pierced scrolls and surmounted by urn finial, the alarm disk probably later
