A SMALL FAMILLE ROSE CYLINDRICAL BRUSHPOT
JIAQING SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN IRON RED AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820)
The exterior is decorated with the characters ji xiang ru yi ('May you have auspiciousness and your wishes fulfilled') in blue on a fine pink diaper ground within four quadrilobed panels separated by four iron-red bats suspending chimes amidst foliate sprays, all on a pale lime-green ground between ruyi and dot borders. The mouth rim is gilded and the interior and base are covered in turquoise enamel.
