wearing long coat, breeches and gaiters, modelled standing reading from a book which he holds in his left hand, his right elbow resting on a book above a plinth moulded with farming implements, on gilt-titled shaped oval base, mid 19th century (some overpainting to black enamels of hair, two small glaze chips and very minor flaking to enamels) -- 28cm. high
