A brown-painted cane, 28in. (71cm.) long, with plated ferrule and silver top (Hallmarks for London, 1900) embossed with QVC above the Arms of the City, date 1900 and initials C.I.V.

This cane is reputed to have been "acquired" at the docks from an Officer who inadvertently dropped it during embarkation.
