A Swiss enamelled gold musical vinaigrette
Geneva, circa 1810, maker's mark probably that of Jean-Georges Rémond & Co.
Oval, the cover and base with blue enamel over engine-turning and black enamel lozenges, the guilloché sides with blue enamel and diagonal black enamel bands, interspersed with pinecone and foliage motifs highlighted with black enamel, the borders of stiff leaves and acanthus highlighted with blue and black enamel, the grille a bright-cut lattice of rosettes, the musical mechanism operated by a key, marked inside cover
