    Geneva, circa 1780/1800, maker's mark FT a crown above
    Oval box, the cover and four side panels enamelled with two-colour gold paillons depicting flower swags on a wavy guilloché ground enamelled in translucent dark blue, within matted gold band borders embellished with trailing foliage, berries and ovolos painted in translucent green and opaque white enamel, the cover centred by an oval enamel plaque painted with warriors in classical costumes, the frame of the miniature enamelled with opaque white dots alternating with green-enamelled ovolos, the four side pilasters enamelled with dark-blue diagonal stripes on a vertically reeded gold ground, the base with remnants of enamelling on an engine-turned wavy sunburst motif
