Geneva, 1809-1814, with the Geneva third standard mark for gold and the Geneva town mark, maker's mark rubbed
Cushion-shaped rectangular box of oval section, engine-turned with horizontal gadrooning framed by flutes, the vertical borders parcel-enamelled in blue and black and stamped with diagonally trailing foliage and ovolos on a matted ground, wavy blank thumbpiece, the convex left and right hand sides stamped with flowerheads and foliage on a matted ground and parcel-enamelled in blue, the left hand side containing a musical movement with concealed key-hole opening when a lever is pushed, the right-hand side with hinged cover, opening to reveal a watch, on a basse-taille polished gold panel enamelled in white with scrolling foliage within a bright-cut border
