GENEVA, CIRCA 1780/1800, THE FLANGE STRUCK WITH TWO FRENCH POST-1893 IMPORT MARKS FOR GOLD
Circular box, the independent cover, sides and base enamelled in translucent oyster pink on an engine-turned coin-pattern ground within a band of sky blue opaque enamel with gold taille d'épargne flutes and berries, the cover centred with a ruby-red glass rectangle surrounded by rose-cut diamonds on a sablé ground with diamond and translucent green enamelled foliate surround, the base centred with a flowerspray on similar ground and split-pearl surround, the enamelled gold borders embellished with leaf decoration and rose-cut diamonds
