BY CHARLES MAGNIN, MARKED, GENEVA, CIRCA 1840, WITH A ST. PETERSBURG MARK FOR 56 ZOLOTNIKI (14 CARAT) GOLD AND INITIALS W. K.
rectangular box with rounded corners, the cover centred with an oval reserve with scalloped edge painted with a lady and a hunter with two dogs in a mountainous landscape, signed 'GF' (lower right), in engraved beaded border with opaque blue enamel scrolls, the edges decorated with taille d'épargne white enamel and gold foliate scrolls, translucent blue enamel flowers, green foliage and orange berries, the base similarly enamelled with engine-turned oval reserve of octagonal pattern with flowers and leaves, the sides with taille d'épargne white enamel and blue flowers
