Oval box, the cover centred with an oval reserve engraved with trophies of love on an enamelled ground simulating pinkish marble, flanked by two blue enamelled panels imitating lapis-lazuli adorned with engraved gold garlands, the sides and base with sablé panels simulating suede framed by polished gold bands, the panel on the base centred by an oval reserve engraved with trophies and a dove, the sides engraved with festoons and floral clusters and divided by four circular reserves similarly engraved with trophies of music and with flowers, the gold borders engraved with scalloped reeding
